| State | Meaning |

| Production | The canonical origin and configured runtime gates are active. |
| Staging | A capability may be exercised only behind the explicit staging prerequisites documented by the runtime. |
| Gated | The route exists but returns a safe capability-gated response until independent controls are enabled. |
| Unavailable | The server did not return authoritative identity state; the client fails closed without fallback data. |
Use /api/v1/readiness and /api/v1/rehearsal as deployment evidence. Do not infer that a UI control is production-backed from its appearance alone.
